Faith / Question & answer

What is repentance?

Repentance is a turning toward God that includes acknowledging sin and changing direction. Acts 17 connects the call to repent with God’s judgment and resurrection. It is more than being frightened for a moment or making a public gesture.

Context and limits

Repentance belongs with trust in Christ and reliance on grace. It should not be extracted through humiliation or financial pressure. A trusted pastor and a local church can help you practice honest confession, repair, and growth over time.
