What does Scripture say about heaven?

The biblical language of heaven can refer to the heavens or to God’s dwelling, depending on context. Christian hope is not exhausted by a picture of souls on clouds. John 14 emphasizes being with Christ, while Revelation’s conclusion emphasizes God dwelling with humanity.
